If you are willing to locate a group of like-minded folks and convince them to go with you, there's a good chance that you can travel for free to just about anywhere in the world your heart desires.

Choose the right travel company and be really good at convincing lot of fellow travelers to you with you -- you could also earn up to $10,000 a trip for your efforts.

Not bad for doing something you passionately enjoy doing, and meeting a whole bunch of people who enjoy the same kind of traveling you do.

There are many dozens of travel companies who actively seek individuals to help them organize tours -- or promote existing ones.

Age is no barrier. Whether you are 16 or 70, there is a tour or tour group that is bound to suit your travel interests.

Teachers are actively sought to promote tours to their students.... often with offers of substantial cash stipends.

High school seniors and college students are sought to promote grad trips and spring break trips to their friends and classmates. In addition to free trips and "rock star" treatment, successful promoters can earn as much as $10,000 per spring break.

Booking and leading tours can a wonderful way to raise cash for a church building fund... or augmenting a minister's meager salary. Ministers can make as much as $10,000 per trip just for telling their church members about pilgrimages and trips to the holy land.

Some spring break travel organizations will send a representative to your campus to put on a meeting.  All you have to do is make a few phone calls to friends and acquaintances, place some posters around your campus and an ad in the school paper. That's it. In no time, you could easily have 15 or 20 people signed up.   A few companies will even collect the deposits.  Most of the companies who do require you to collect deposits take over from there and collect the balance of the trip fee.

The more actively you promote, the more trips and the more money you will likely earn.

It is not uncommon for an aggressive promoter to earn a free trip AND as much as $10,000 a trip.

The more widely you advertise your tour or pilgrimage, the more trips you'll book and the more cash you'll make.

To increase your chances for success, you should announce and start promoting your trip or pilgrimage a year in advance of your departure date. This gives you lots of time to reach the required number of people. It also gives your prospects enough time to raise money for and schedule the trip.

If you are affiliated with a school, a church, or a club, your job of promoting a tour is a lot easier since you have pre-existing channels of communication. Just write letters or emails, place announcements in newsletters and on bulletin boards, and make phone calls and announcements at meetings or services, etc.

To make as much money as possible in addition to a free trip -- either for yourself or for a non profit group, you should advertise and promote to a wider audience.

• Send press releases to newspapers and other media.
• Post flyers on community and church bulletin boards.
• Take out small classified ads in newspapers and magazines.
• Post in special interest Internet forums.
• Hold seminars and public meetings.

Organizing and promoting a tour gives you rewards beyond just the trip and the money.  You will find that In the process of organizing a trip you will come into contact with people who love the same kind of travel you do... folks you would never meet otherwise ... often resulting in lifelong friendships.

In fact, many tour organizers find that the best part of organizing and promoting a tour is the joy of meeting new people who share their passion for travel and their interests in a particular kind of travel.

As group leader you will have already "broken the ice"... so when you embark on your cruise or tour, you'll usually be on a first name basis with everyone.  This leads to a sense of camaraderie with the group, contributes tremendously to the success of the trip, and creates lifelong friendships.
