Gypsies used tarot cards as did the Christian Chuch around the year 600 AD.

Prior to that, ancient Egyptian tablets had pictures of the various tarot symbols. These ancient symbols provide some of the basis for the modern tarot deck which was revised by the Order of the Golden Dawn to work in conjunction with the Tree of Life and for spell work.

Most folks want to know the meaning of tarot cards.

However, there are so many variables that it is impossible to provide an answer that covers them all.

For example, there are 1,000's of different types of tarot decks.

Then there are untold numbers of combinations of the cards or "spreads".

Couple that with the many different methods or approaches to reading the spreads and you will see just how imporssible it is to provide a precise answer.

The best way to accurately interpret a tarot spread is to develop a strong relationship with a particular tarot deck.

It is possible to develop a fairly strong relationship when working with a variety of card decks. You will at least develop a solid clarity of the cards meanings.

However, the more you work with a particular tarot card deck, the better accuracy can be achieved in your readings.

The more you practice, the more you will be attuned to your particular deck and the more intuitive you will become in interpreting your deck's tarot cards meaning.
