Chipotle Mexican Grill Review "... Fast-food in concept, the restaurant elevated itself with the quality of its offerings: simple burritos and tacos stuffed with deliciously marinated meats. Personally, I loved the barbacoa, shredded beef braised in a mixture of chipotle adobo, cumin, cloves, oregano, and garlic. Its spicy bite gave burritos and tacos flavor to spare. On a street filled with Mexican food, Chipotle served some of the best.... at all Chipotle stores, the basic options on the menu were few, just five items: burrito, fajita burrito, burrito bol, tacos, and salad. But the variations within those categories were many. Everything came with a choice of meat -- chicken, steak, barbacoa, or pork carnitas -- or could be made vegetarian with guacamole and black beans (and sauteed red onions and green peppers, if desired). Prices depended on the meat chosen: $5.10 for chicken, $5.25 for steak, $5.65 for carnitas, $5.50 for barbacoa and $4.95 for vegetarian.... There were two types of beans, four types of salsa, and the option of including sour cream, guacamole, cheese (a particularly tasty mix of jack and white cheddar), lettuce or the fluffy white rice mixed with freshly chopped cilantro....Even more satisfying, though, was the guacamole. Chips and sides of guacamole cost extra at Chipotle: $1.85 for chips and guacamole, 95 cents for chips and salsa, $1.40 for just guacamole, and 45 cents for just chips. But the expense was well worth it. I could have eaten several sides of the guacamole, which was thick with chunks of avocado, chopped onion and minced cilantro. The chips were good, salty and crisp, but they were really just conduits for the guacamole. Plenty of drink options rounded out the menu. Beers seemed a bargain at $2.75 for imports, $2.25 for domestics, and bottled drinks, $1.50, range from lemonades to Nantucket Nectars juices...."

I can't describe how tasty the food at this family owned resturant is but, do yourself a favor... Go and have yourself an excellent meal for a good deal, and the drinks, they are just as good and fresh guacamole made at your table. You're visit to L.A. won't be complete without a stop over to this fine establisment (established in 1927) and if your a local angelino and haven't been to an El Cholo, you are hangin with the wrong crowd mi amigo. Ciao!"
