What better way to while away the afternoon or evening than to attend the reception for an artist... or explore a variety of artists studios during an Open Studio Tour.

Not only will you usually get to see some great new works... and meet the artists...

but you will have a chance to meet fellow art aficionados, nibble on some great hors d'oeuvres... and may even make a new friend who is just as passionate about art as you are.

Laguna Beach's Sawdust Art Festival's Annual Art Studio Tour "... Explore the private studios of over 50 of Laguna Beach's most well respected artists at the Art Studio Tour on April 3rd & 4th. This magical, once-a-year event takes visitors inside artists' studios that are not typically open to the public, allowing an exclusive glimpse into the creative lives of the participating artists. Studios run the gamut from quaint cottages to industrial spaces. Meet painters, sculptors, jewelers, glass artists, ceramists and more... Each day concludes at the Sawdust Art Festival where patrons can mingle with the artists at Gallery 935 while enjoying live music, fine wines and hors d'oeuvres." Cost is $65 for the weekend or $45 for one day.

Old Bank District Art Walk "... features open lofts in three historic loft buildings, plus the work of over 75 artists, including local painters, sculptors, jewelry designers, fashion designers, photographers, musicians, interior designers, writers, poets, media artists and other creative professionals... Live music on main street. In-studio performances. Installations. Performance Art... " Usually first Sunday afternoon in October.

Guided Tour During Downtown Art Walk

Art consultant Ashley McLean Emenegger of McLean Fine Art will provide you a first-hand acquaintance with the galleries and artists of Gallery Row on her guided tours during the Downtown Art Walk

You will visit commercial art galleries and non-profit arts venues and be introduced to some of L.A.’s most progressive gallery directors and art leaders. The guided tours are the ideal opportunity for burgeoning and experienced art collectors to discover new talent and for participants to network with arts patrons, curators, consultants, artists and arts enthusiasts while exploring the rapidly expanding artistic landscape of Downtown Los Angeles.
